Daily7 and Daily10 launches new paper

PRESS RELEASE

LAUNCH DATE: 5th February, 2010

This month (February, 2010), Daily7 and Daily10, Hong Kong’s leading English language daily children’s newspapers will be launching a new and exciting product. Children aged 2 to 5 will now have their own little paper.

A natural addition to the company’s existing English language products, My Little Paper is a beautifully illustrated 8-page weekly that features fun games, interactive exercises, photos, worksheets and new material that will keep children entertained while they learn about the world.

Children can practise their numbers, letters, shapes and colours. They can also learn skills such as colouring in, counting and cutting out.

My Little Paper is perfect for parents who would like to play a role in their child’s early education, but who are not trained teachers and lack the necessary resources to be able to do so. Older children can have a go at the exercises themselves.

The paper is delivered to subscribers’ homes every Friday. So parents who work will have the weekend to spend time with their small children. And with My Little Paper, they can make this quality time.

My Little Paper is brought to you by the publisher of Daily7 and Daily10, Hong Kong’s leading daily English language newspapers. The newspapers have been published since 2004, and are highly respected products in Hong Kong homes. They offer children aged 5-11 a chance to read for 10 to 15 minutes every day, while they learn new and exciting things about the world. Daily7 and Daily10 are colourful, interesting and educational, and are much loved by children. Many teachers in Hong Kong also use them as teaching aids or as topics of discussion in their classrooms.

Daily7 and Daily10 publisher Melanie Holloway said: “My Little Paper is a perfect addition to the stable of our existing products. We realised there was a gap in our age group for younger readers, and wanted to produce a paper suitable for these children. It has been enormous fun coming up with the concepts and ideas for My Little Paper, and feedback from teachers, parents and children has been extremely positive. We feel confident that this is a product that children and parents will look forward to receiving each week, and will grow to love just as our readers love and look forward to receiving their Daily7 and Daily10 each day.”
